A Vibrant Community
Mini-Cassia has a vibrant arts and culture community that supports a variety of theaters, festivals, concerts and events all year long. Local institutions like the King Fine Arts Center, the Historic Wilson Theatre, the Minidoka County Historical Society, and the Cassia County Historical Museum showcase the region's rich history and contemporary creativity.
Cassia County Historical Museum
Visitors can see Indian artifacts, fossils, farm tools, period clothing, household items, and much more at the Cassia County Historical Museum.
PRCA Rodeo
The Cassia County PRCA rodeo is a longstanding tradition in the community, showcasing the skills and bravery of cowboys and cowgirls in various events such as bull riding, barrel racing, and steer wrestling. The rodeo is a highlight of the summer season.
Spudman Triathlon
The Spudman Triathlon is an annual event held in Burley, Idaho that draws athletes from all over the country to compete in a challenging course that includes a swim in the Snake River, a bike ride through the countryside, and a run along the scenic riverfront.
The Historic Wilson Theatre
The Wilson Theatre is another local treasure, offering an array of concerts, comedy shows, experiences, concerts, theatrical performances, and community events throughout the year.
The King Fine Arts Center
The King Fine Arts Center is a large venue that seats 1138, has a proscenium state and an orchestra pit. It offers concerts, shows, community events, and theatrical performances.
Minidoka & Cassia County Fairs
More than a gathering of rides, animals, rodeo, and cotton candy, our county fairs are our favorite weeks of the summer, bringing together locals and visitors alike for a thrilling and entertaining experience.
Minidoka County Historical Society Museum
This museum features the Ray Stockton Tack & Livery Bay, a new collections of rifles and hand guns, Rupert’s 1906 Railroad Depot, a Union Pacific Railroad Caboose, a Russell Steam Engine, Rupert's first jail, Minidoka Dam history, prehistoric bones & fossils, Indian artifacts, area school histories and yearbooks beginning in 1913, a research library, scrap books and newspapers, and a digitizing program.
Rupert Fourth of July Celebration
The Fire Department puts on a display of awesome fireworks sponsored by the Square Events Committee on the 30th of June to kick off the five day event for the 4th of July activities. This is small town rural America at its finest.
Howells Opera House
Located 20 miles south of Burley in the beautiful Snake River plains of South Central Idaho, we are the OAKLEY VALLEY ARTS COUNCIL.
Occupying the HISTORIC 1907 HOWELLS OPERA HOUSE, we produce musical and theatrical productions year-round and a annual Christmas Concert thanks to the efforts of our devoted volunteers.

The Idaho Boat Regatta
An annual action-packed boat race that brings people from all over the country to Burley, Idaho. Thousands of spectators who will line up on the river bank to watch speed boats zoom across the river in head-to-head competition at speeds exceeding 120 mph.
